Pipefusion is a supplier of high density polyethylene pipe (HDPE) available in solid wall, perforated, profile wall, insulated and gas applications. HDPE is a polyethylene thermoplastic made from petroleum. Pipefusion is a Sclairpipe® High Density Polyethylene Pipe distributor – sizes ranging from 3/4″ through 63″ diameter, the largest HDPE pressure pipe in the world. With a high strength-to-density ratio, HDPE pipe is used in the production of corrosion-resistant piping.
HDPE is quickly becoming the material of choice among engineers and contractor’s working in the aquaculture, agriculture, energy, gas, geothermal, industrial, landfill, marine, mining, municipal landfill and recreation industries.
We have the ability to source HDPE piping products from an extensive network of manufactures and suppliers across Canada and the United States. We offer fast, professional, reliable service at very competitive prices.
Our customers have a clear need for pipe materials that offer longer pipeline life expectancy, greater pipeline integrity and durability, lower total installation costs and environment advantages over traditional pipe materials. At Pipefusion we believe that reliable, leak-free and corrosion free pipeline infrastructure is attainable and we strive to provide that to our customers in the most efficient and cost effective way.
Pipefusion is a supplier of Uponor Infra’s gas pipe. Uponor produces and markets high density polyethylene (HDPE) “WehoGas” pipe for gas distribution. It is manufactured from premium-engineered PE resins with proven long term performance capabilities. WehoGas is renowned for its tough leak-free reliability, abrasion and corrosion resistance and continuous length handling advantages.
Polyethylene pipe has carried natural gas to homes and the industry since the early 1960’s. Today, more than 90% of the pipe installed for natural gas distribution in Canada and the U.S. is polyethylene.
WehoGas pipe is lightweight and available in long coils for ease of installation and to minimize the number of joints required. It can be joined by thermal butt fusion or mechanical fittings and does not corrode like metal pipe.
When WehoGas is joined by fusion, the pipe ends are melted together by machine forming a joint that is bottle tight eliminating the possibility of leaks.
Easily recognized by its yellow color, WehoGas is used by most gas utilities in Canada and a growing number in the U.S.
It has proven to perform in a variety of service conditions including:
